Majors
The four grand slam tournaments (either an Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, or the US Open.
Grand Slam
Refers to winning the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open all in one year.
Forehand
A stroke played with the palm of the hand facing in the direction of the stroke.
Backhand
A stroke played with the back of the hand facing in the direction of the stroke, with the arm across the body.
Topspin
A fast forward spinning motion imparted to a ball when throwing or hitting it, often resulting in a curved path or a strong forward motion on rebounding.
Serve
Throwing the ball up and hitting it within the service box to begin play.
Reciever
The person who is receiving the ball from the serve.
