U.S Open
The United States Open Tennis Championships occurs on the 26th of August until the 8th of September. It is the last tennis major comprising the grand slam every year. The U.S Open is one of the oldest competitions where men's singles matches were played back in 1881. The U.S Open uses hard courts, the same as the Australian Open. It is held in New York City, and welcomes the best tennis players in the world every year. Five tournaments are played, just like every other major. Men's and Women's singles & doubles, and wheelchair players. Unlike the other majors the fifth set of the U.S Open contains a tie break if needed. Every other major uses tie breaks for the first four sets but not the fifth. Winners of the singles matches receive 1.9 U.S Dollars. Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams are the defending champions of last years U.S Open.
